Ritchot Municipal Demonstration Project
The Rural Municipality of Ritchot Council has taken a decisive step toward sustainable waste management by unanimously approving negotiations with Carbon Lock Tech. This decision follows a formal pitch and a positive recommendation from the municipality’s Chief Administrative Officer, who noted that Council members would have to opportunity to approve project once a formal agreement was drafted. This partnership focuses on deploying a proprietary pyrolytic reactor near the Mid Canada landfill to convert organic waste—such as wood and food scraps—into stable biocarbon pellets.
For Carbon Lock Tech, this demonstration facility will showcase its carbon-negative, circular economy model: diverting waste from landfills, producing versatile biochar for sectors like agriculture and mining, and generating high-value carbon removal credits. For Carbon Lock Tech, this unanimous support serves as a vital commercial milestone to validate their technology at scale.
