Excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the main driver of climate change. To solve this problem we need to find ways to significantly reduce carbon emissions. But time is short and it's becoming increasingly clear that beyond emissions reductions we’ll now need to remove large amounts of carbon from the atmosphere. This is both necessary — and achievable.
Carbon Lock Tech uses the natural power of plants to remove carbon from the atmosphere. Every year, plants take in billions of tonnes of carbon dioxide through photosynthesis. But when plant-based materials end up in a landfill, they break down and release their carbon back into the air. Our solution is to convert organic materials of all types into stable forms of biocarbon, which can then be stored for the long term in soils, building materials or green infrastructure projects.
